For 38 years, 50 select artists and craftsmen have come together at the University of New Hampshire in what truly has become a celebration of the fine art of craft. Stroll through life in a simpler time as 350 years of American history, winter traditions and holiday celebrations unfold around you in New Hampshire’s oldest waterfront neighborhood.  Highlights:  Historic houses from four centuries with decorations hand-crafted from natural materials; Hundreds of wood and glass candle boxes lighting the lanes and landscape; Live music and holiday entertainment for all ages; Horse-drawn carriage rides; Holiday decoration demonstrations; Traditional barrel making demonstrations; 18th century holiday hearth cooking; Tinsmith demonstrations;

Ice skating at Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond, daily December-February.

Ring in the New Year at this family-friendly, alcohol-free event held at various venues in downtown Portsmouth. The fun includes ice sculptures in Market Square beginning at 4 p.m.,  fireworks at 7:30 p.m., a street dance on Pleasant Street and entertainment by a slew of performers.
